Sultan: Super Star turns Super Hero

While all the media hype focuses on Sivaji, the Thalaivar has made sure that he will not go off the loop completely once the buzz over Sivaji dies down. This is surprising, given there is usually a big lull and uncertainty about the next Rajni movie until it, in fact, gets announced. People speculate if he is actually going to act in another movie and such. This time when we went to watch Sivaji, the Sultan trailer greeted us prior to the opening credits. Something that is sure to ensure a good buzz, once the excitement over Shankar’s latest offering dies down.

It was both surprising as well as refreshing to see an actor feature in an animated movie. Well, we know Shahrukh Khan, did some voice overs in the Hindi dubbing of The Incredibles, but this one is an entirely novel concept - where the animated character is modeled on the actor. One that gives yet another endorsement of his demi-God status.

Continued Hiatus and Guest Blogging

My return with a useful post is taking longer than I would want, with my usually healthy posting frequency taking a beating in the process. With the craziness that accompanies semester endings fast coming to an end, the day is not far off before I get back to writing something meaningful. But I still managed to guest blog (or should I rather say, I am a part of their crew).

April Madness and DesiDabba

So, the semester is finally inching towards a close and the usual desperate, 'scrambling for getting things done' process has been well and truly begun. Tons of exciting things like exams, assignments, project proposals, project presentations, report submissions and the like dot my calendar. So probably my posting frequency (which by the way has seen phenomenal highs this year) might take a beating. Gentle readers, not to worry. I will try my best to keep you informed of the said exciting things during the next few weeks.

While on the topic of blogging and posting, the nice folks at DesiDabba found me obsessed enough with television to invite me on board. And oh, I forget. DesiDabba is this attempt at a blog dedicated to television and targeted at the Indian audience. (Check out the site, I love their site design!) So yes, while my knowledge of Hindi serials may not be much to talk about, my obsession with American shows might just turn out to be my savior!

I wouldn't cross post in both places, although I will alert you as soon as I post something there. So here's my first post on DesiDabba, a review of House M. D, a show I have grown to love.
